WORCESTER MAN ADMITS SHARING CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND CHATS
A PAEDOPHILE has admitted chatting online to others about ways to sexually abuse young children.Paul Molyneux pleaded guilty to having more than 20 conversations on WhatsApp discussing the sexual abuse of children while in Worcester.
The court heard that police uncovered the offences after receiving intelligence via an email and traced Molyneux's IP address.
Worcester Magistrates' Court was told that police searched his property and discovered evidence of messages and images sharing discussions about the sexual abuse of children.
A total of 31 indecent images, including 60 Category A images depicting the most extreme abuse, were discussed on WhatsApp and Telegram.
Molyneux also made 55 Category B images and 206 Category C images, which depict children being sexually abused but are less severe.
He distributed two Category A images, two Category B, and 27 Category C images.
The court also found that Molyneux had an extreme pornographic image involving a dead animal.
The offences are considered very serious, leading to his being committed to Worcester Crown Court for sentencing scheduled for September 9, where he will be dealt with by a judge.
He was granted unconditional bail and ordered to register as a sex offender with Worcester Police Station.
