PAUL KITCHEMAN FROM SHEFFIELD JAILED FOR CHILD RAPE VIDEO AND INDECENT IMAGES
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Sheffield, Paul Kitcheman, a 44-year-old car salesman, was sentenced to six months in prison after being found in possession of a highly disturbing video depicting the brutal rape of a child.The incident came to light when police investigators uncovered the illicit material on his personal computer during a routine search of his residence.
Kitcheman, who resides on Bullen Road in the Foxhill area of Sheffield, admitted to six counts of downloading indecent images of children from the internet during a court hearing held at Derby Crown Court.
The court was told that the computer analysis revealed not only the child rape video but also numerous indecent images of minors, which he had stored on his device.
Judge Jonathan Gosling presided over the case and delivered a stern sentence, emphasizing the gravity of the crimes committed.
He stated, “There was a movie of the violent rape by an adult male of a young child.
The damage caused by the activities of you and other people involved in such heinous acts is incalculable and extends far beyond the moment the images are created.” The judge further explained that individuals like Kitcheman are the primary market for such material, fueling the creation and distribution of these damaging images.
Prosecutor Sarah Allen detailed the investigation, revealing that police analysts discovered the illicit content on Kitcheman’s computer after visiting his home near Chesterfield in January.
The analysis confirmed the presence of the child rape video and indecent images, which are considered to be among the most serious forms of child exploitation material.
Defense attorney Dale Harris attempted to mitigate the severity of the case, highlighting Kitcheman’s personal struggles.
Harris stated, “He has faced difficulties in his marriage over the last ten years, and he and his wife have been living almost separate lives.
There is a stigma he has brought upon his family and friends, and he bears a deep sense of shame and embarrassment.” Despite these mitigating factors, Judge Gosling ordered Kitcheman to sign the sex offenders’ register for a period of seven years.
The judge also issued a stark warning about the lasting impact of such images, saying, “The images you have viewed and stored are with the victims for the rest of their lives.
These images are distributed and never truly deleted.
They are always accessible for people like you to watch, perpetuating the harm inflicted upon the victims.”
