PAUL JUDGES FROM SEVENOAKS SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND INDECENT IMAGES

In a case that has shocked the community of Sevenoaks, Paul Judges, a 49-year-old man formerly residing on Caxton Close in Hartley, has been convicted and sentenced to four years in prison for serious child sexual abuse offenses. The criminal proceedings revealed disturbing details about his actions, which spanned over a year and involved both direct abuse and the possession of illicit images.

Judges was taken into custody in May 2014 after allegations surfaced regarding his inappropriate conduct towards a teenage boy. The offenses reportedly occurred in December of the previous year, prompting a police investigation that would uncover further disturbing evidence. During his time in custody, authorities conducted a thorough search of his computer equipment, where they discovered a collection of indecent images depicting children. Among these images were several photographs of his young victim, captured in various states of undress, highlighting the severity and depravity of his actions.

Judges pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including engaging in sexual activity with a minor, possessing indecent images of children, and creating such images. His admission of guilt led to his sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court on December 16. The court's decision reflects the gravity of his crimes and the threat he posed to the safety of children.

Detective Constable Donna Read, the officer leading the investigation, expressed her condemnation of Judges' conduct. She stated, “Paul Judges is a depraved individual who has demonstrated he is unsafe for children to be around. I hope this sentencing brings some closure to those affected by his crimes, who have shown tremendous courage in coming forward and supporting this prosecution.”
