PAUL JARVIS FROM HEREFORD SENTENCED FOR SEX OFFENCES AND NOW LIVING IN WORCESTER BAIL HOSTEL
In May 2013, Paul Jarvis, a 51-year-old resident of Drake Court, Moor Farm, Hereford, was sentenced to a decade in prison after being convicted of multiple serious sexual offences. The court found that Jarvis had targeted two teenage girls, exploiting their vulnerability through manipulation and alcohol.
One of his victims was only 14 years old, while the other was 16, highlighting the predatory nature of his crimes.
Jarvis's criminal activities included five separate sexual assaults against the older girl, as well as engaging in sexual activity and inciting a child to participate in a sex act with the younger girl.
These heinous acts led to his conviction and subsequent imprisonment, reflecting the severity of his offenses.
Following his sentencing, Jarvis challenged the length of his prison term at London's criminal appeal court, claiming that his punishment was excessively harsh.
His legal representatives argued that the sentence was 'too tough,' seeking a reduction.
However, the senior judges overseeing the appeal dismissed these complaints, affirming that his punishment was 'justified' given the gravity of his crimes.
As of June 2018, Paul Jarvis is currently residing in a bail hostel in Worcester, where he is living under supervision.
It has been reported that he now bears a tattoo of a spider's web on his face, a detail that underscores his ongoing connection to his past and perhaps his attempts at self-identification or marking.
In July 2017, Jarvis was released from custody and is now on a tag, indicating he remains under electronic monitoring as part of his parole conditions.
His current whereabouts and status reflect ongoing legal and social challenges as he navigates life after his criminal convictions.
