PRESTON PAEDOPHILE PAUL HOPE ON THE RUN FROM POLICE IN LANCASHIRE
In a serious development, authorities in Preston are actively searching for Paul Hope, a convicted sex offender who has now gone into hiding just weeks after being released from prison. The Lancashire Police have launched a manhunt for the 38-year-old individual, who is wanted on recall to serve the remainder of his sentence.
Hope was originally sentenced in 2010 to 32 months in prison after being convicted of engaging in sexual activities with a minor under the age of 16.
His criminal record and previous breaches of legal requirements have made his current disappearance particularly concerning.
According to police reports, Hope was released from custody on May 9, but shortly thereafter, he failed to comply with the conditions of his release, which mandated that he attend a police station for monitoring purposes.
Following his failure to report as required, Lancashire Police swiftly responded by initiating a search operation across Preston and surrounding areas.
The police have publicly appealed to the community for assistance in locating him, emphasizing the seriousness of his status as a sex offender who has previously breached notification obligations.
Hope’s history of non-compliance with supervision orders is well-documented.
In April of this year, he was sentenced to seven days in prison at Preston Magistrates’ Court after failing to adhere to his supervision conditions.
His pattern of absconding is not new; in January 2015, he failed to return to an agreed-upon location in Blackburn while under regular monitoring.
Additionally, in June 2016, authorities issued a public appeal after he went missing following another period of incarceration.
Described as a white male standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, Paul Hope has been known to have links to several areas including South Ribble, Accrington, Lytham, and Preston itself.
His lack of a fixed address complicates efforts to locate him, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information about a missing sex offender wanted on recall to prison.
Paul Hope, who is 38 and of no fixed address, was released from custody on May 9.
He has links to the Preston area.” Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and to contact police immediately if they have any information regarding his whereabouts.
