HIGH COURT SENTENCES OFFENDER TO 11 YEARS FOR SERIOUS SEXUAL OFFENCES
At the Livingston High Court, Judge Sheriff Craig handed down an extended sentence of 11 years to Paul Dredge.The defendant was convicted by a jury after a trial of multiple serious sexual offences involving two different victims.
During the sentencing, Sheriff Craig commented on the offender’s grooming and sexual assaults against minors, including one victim under the age of 16.
He outlined the sentencing guidelines and noted aggravating circumstances.
The sentence consists of 8 years in prison, with an additional 3-year period of supervised release in the community, starting from 8 May 2026.
The court also issued a Non-Harassment Order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order lasting ten years, and Dredge will be subject to sex offender registration requirements indefinitely.
