GIRL, 17, GROPED ON CAR JOURNEY FROM KNOCKHILL TO HILLEND
A MAN sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl as he drove her from Knockhill racing track, north of Dunfermline.
Kenneth Nichols groped the female as she sat in the passenger seat.
Nichols, 27, of Manitoba Avenue, Livingston, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and admitted his guilt.
On August 17 last year at various locations during a car journey from Knockhill to Hillend, he sexually assaulted a female by placing his hand under her clothing, touching her naked breast and then placing his hand on her thigh.
Depute fiscal Catherine Stevenson said that Nichols and the teenage girl knew each other but have never been in a relationship.
At 6.30pm he was driving the female from Knockhill when he placed his hand under her top and her bra, touching her breast.
She pushed his hand away then Nichols put his hand on her thigh.
She pushed him away again.
That night the 17-year-old victim told her mum what had happened and was described as being “upset, crying and in a state of distress”.
The same night Nichols sent the victim a message saying, “I need to apologise for my actions in the car”.
He added, it was “not fair to do that”.
Sheriff Nigel Cooke called for reports and Nichols will be sentenced on February 18.
