PAUL DOUGLAS FROM CARLISLE CHARGED WITH CHILD PORN AND BESTIALITY IMAGES
In a significant development in the ongoing fight against child exploitation and illegal content, Paul Douglas, a 26-year-old resident of Carlisle, has admitted to serious criminal charges involving the possession and creation of indecent images of children, as well as videos depicting bestiality.The charges came to light after law enforcement authorities conducted a search of Douglas’s electronic devices, uncovering a disturbing collection of illegal material.
Following the discovery, Douglas appeared in court where he pleaded guilty to the charges.
The authorities revealed that the material found on his devices included hundreds of images, some of which were classified at the highest levels of severity, indicating the extreme nature of the content involved.
The court did not take the matter lightly, emphasizing the gravity of the offences committed.
As part of the court's ruling, Douglas was issued a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
This order restricts his access to the internet and prohibits him from owning any devices that could be used to access or distribute illegal content, aiming to prevent further offences and protect the community.

The court announced that Douglas’s case will be returned for further proceedings, including sentencing, once additional investigations are completed.
