PAUL BRIERLEY FROM BURNLEY JAILED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES
A resident of Burnley, Paul Brierley, has been sentenced to over three years in prison after being found guilty of possessing and viewing indecent images of children.
The 29-year-old man admitted to making such images and was found in possession of three videos depicting minors.
His collection included material featuring children ranging from infants less than 12 months old to teenagers aged 15.
During a police raid at his residence, authorities discovered nearly 100 images, some of which contained highly severe and disturbing content.
The investigation revealed that Brierley's collection was extensive and included some of the most troubling material available.
In court, Brierley pleaded guilty to the charges, and the judge sentenced him to eight months in prison, which was suspended for two years.
Additionally, he was ordered to participate in sex offender rehabilitation programs as part of his sentence.
The court also mandated that he be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for a period of ten years, emphasizing the serious risk posed by such material and the potential danger to the community.
