BURNLEY SEX OFFENDER JAILED AFTER NOT REGISTERING NEW XBOX WITH POLICE
A convicted Burnley sex offender has been jailed after not registering an Xbox game console with the police.
Burnley Crown Court heard how Carl Scully, 28, of Coal Clough Lane, used the device with internet capability without notifying police, which he was required to do under his sexual harm prevention order.
Additionally, he breached the same order by pawning a device to buy food, making it unavailable for police inspection.
During his hearing at Blackburn Magistrates' Court, Scully told police, “when you haven't eaten for a few days, you don't think straight”.
He was jailed for 12 months for the breach on Friday, January 23.
