PAUL AHMED FROM SOUTH SHIELDS INVOLVED IN SEXUAL OFFENSES WITH SCHOOLGIRL IN NEWCASTLE
A fire union official was accused of engaging in sexual encounters with a schoolgirl he seduced through increasingly explicit texts, a court heard.According to reports in the latest editions of the Newcastle Chronicle, Paul Ahmed was introduced to the 14-year-old by one of her friends during the Christmas holiday.
The court was told that they maintained contact via mobile messages, which grew more sexually explicit over time.
Prosecutors stated that Ahmed used these messages to persuade the girl to start a secret affair.
The 44-year-old, an official with the Fire Brigades' Union based in South Tyneside, reportedly picked the girl up from the car park of The Fountain pub in South Shields and took her to a nearby port.
It is alleged that on one occasion he fondled her breasts, and on another, they engaged in a sexual act.
Later, Ahmed took the girl to his house, where he reportedly had full intercourse with her on a sofa in the living room, with her giving her consent, as told by prosecutor Michael Hodson.
The case came to light when the girl’s mother discovered one of the messages, confronted her daughter, and contacted police.
Mr.
Hodson described the texts as “very explicit,” emphasizing that they aimed to encourage the girl to behave indecently with Ahmed.
Ahmed, of Carnegie Close, South Shields, denies charges including two counts of indecent assault, gross indecency, inciting the girl to commit acts of gross indecency, and another serious sexual offence.
All allegations concern the period between April and June 2003.
The court was informed that the girl kept a record of the messages in a special book, which included explicit descriptions of sexual acts Ahmed wanted her to perform, along with boasts about his own performance.
It was also noted that Ahmed seemed aware that his actions were wrong.
Despite this, he allegedly used persuasive text messages that caused her to feel infatuated, leading her to be willing to comply with his suggestions.
Additionally, Ahmed reportedly planned to record a video of himself having sex with the girl in a caravan, but this meeting did not occur.
He later told police that he knew the girl but insisted that no inappropriate or sexual contact had ever taken place.
The case is ongoing, with the girl expected to give evidence via a television link.
