PATRICK LAMBOURNE SENTENCED IN CITY FOR VIOLENT ASSAULT ON EX-PARTNER

Patrick Lambourne was convicted of multiple violent attacks against his former partner. During the court hearing, it was revealed that Lambourne assaulted her after she tried to prevent him from drink driving, and he caused her injuries again when he watched football with a male friend at her residence, driven by jealousy.

Lambourne, who began his relationship with the victim in 2022 while she was pregnant, exhibited violent behavior upon discovering she had a male visitor at her home. During a disturbance at around 3am, while intoxicated, he attempted to break into her property. He pushed her onto the sofa and placed his hands around her neck, causing her voice to become hoarse for several days. He also injured her arm in the assault. The victim told the court she was terrified he "was going to kill her" and explained that she was unable to pick up or cuddle her child for three weeks due to her injuries, losing vital bonding time.

Lambourne, a carpenter and builder with a prior conviction for battery, admitted to the charges. The court sentenced him to 15 months in prison, suspended for two years, and imposed additional requirements for activity and rehabilitation, noting his tendency for binge drinking and impulsive acts. Additionally, a restraining order was issued against him for five years.
