OLIVIA CLINTON OF EASTBOURNE POLICE DISCIPLINED FOR GROPING COLLEAGUES

A female police officer, Olivia Clinton, 30, was reported to have engaged in inappropriate behavior after a night of heavy drinking, including groping a fellow officer and making suggestive remarks, a disciplinary hearing was told.

The incident occurred during a night out in Eastbourne with police colleagues. Pc Clinton, who was described as being "extremely intoxicated," allegedly made flirtatious comments to a male officer, Pc B, stating: "I bet you’re a big boy aren’t you?" She then reportedly groped him a second time over his crotch and continued her advances by wrapping her arms around his waist at the bar, sliding her hands down to his crotch.

Later in the evening, as the group mingled with other officers, Pc Clinton allegedly approached a female colleague, Pc A, and groped her breast. The disciplinary panel heard that the behavior was inappropriate and disruptive.

Pc Clinton, who has since resigned from Sussex Police, was barred from serving as an officer again. It was noted that she would have been dismissed if she had still been in active duty.

The hearing in Lewes revealed details that the officers' night out involved several drinks at a pub, during which Pc Clinton’s conduct was questioned. One officer, identified as Pc B, initially thought the initial touch was from his partner, but upon turning around, recognized it as Clinton’s actions. The incident was part of a broader review of her behavior during that night.
