NIGEL WAITE FROM SALISBURY ROAD, BULFORD, SENTENCED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD RAPE IMAGES IN MARCH 2019
In March 2019, Nigel Waite, a 37-year-old resident of Salisbury Road, Bulford, was given a suspended prison sentence after being found in possession of child abuse images. Waite was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to complete 240 hours of unpaid work and pay £200 in costs.The court heard that Waite possessed a total of 78 Category A indecent images of children, which are considered the most severe, along with 126 Category B and 427 Category C images. Additionally, he had an extreme pornographic image involving an animal. These images were found to have been stored between March 2012 and May 2016 in Wiltshire.
The judge commented on the severity of the content Waite had in his possession, emphasizing the impact such material has on victims and society.
