TWO-YEAR ORDER FOR ATTACKING GIRLFRIEND
Rhia Brown suffered an internal blood blister to her lip and multiple bruising to the end of her fingers in the assault, which happened on April 17.Nigel Mulvey, 24, of Ashwood Crescent, admitted assaulting her when he appeared at Northwich Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Prosecutor Kate Marchbank said Mulvey was in a relationship with Rhia Brown when a verbal altercation took place in a car.
Mulvey had used some force to stop her getting out of the car, punched her in the face and caught her hand in the door.
Chris Johnson, defending, said his client denied closing the door on her hand.
Mr Johnson said: "He has gone for an anger management programme." Magistrates gave the defendant a 24-month supervision order and an 80-hour community punishment order.
They also ordered him to attend a domestic abuse programme and also ordered him to pay £50 compensation and £20 court costs.
