NIGEL DACK SCARBOROUGH SEX ATTACK SHOCKER: EIGHT-YEAR SENTENCE FOR RAPE OF GIRL UNDER 16

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Scarborough, Nigel Dack, a 40-year-old man, was sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of raping a girl under the age of 16. The incident took place over a period spanning from October 1999 to September 2000, during which Dack committed the heinous acts against the young girl.

At York Crown Court, Judge Paul Hoffman delivered a stern verdict, emphasizing the profound impact of Dack’s actions. He stated, "The damage you have done cannot be calculated," underscoring the severity of the crime and its lasting effects on the victim.

Dack, who was employed at a café in Scarborough, vehemently denied the allegations, dismissing the claims made by the girl as "wicked lies." Despite his denials, the prosecution, led by prosecutor David Bradshaw, presented compelling evidence that painted a different picture. Bradshaw explained that Dack had met the girl after school hours and gradually escalated his advances from innocent gestures such as kissing and cuddling to more serious acts of sexual assault.

According to the prosecution, the girl was "very fond" of Dack, which he exploited to his advantage. The situation reportedly began with the girl sitting on his knee, engaging in affectionate gestures, but it later progressed to non-consensual intercourse. Bradshaw emphasized that Dack believed he had evaded detection by accusing the girl of lying about the incident.

During the trial, Dack attempted to justify his actions by claiming that the girl had asked him for kisses and cuddles, and that he believed he had not crossed any boundaries because he had not removed her clothes. However, the court found his explanations unconvincing and ultimately convicted him of the serious charges.

In addition to the prison sentence, Judge Hoffman ordered Dack to be registered on the sex offenders’ register for life, a measure aimed at monitoring and preventing any future offenses.
