NEIL ROSS FROM HULL AND BIRKENHEAD SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT AT LIMF FESTIVAL

Nearly a year after the assault occurred at the music festival in 2017, justice was finally served when Neil Ross, a 34-year-old man originally from Hull, was convicted of the serious crimes.
Neil Ross, who was residing in Birkenhead at the time of his conviction, was found guilty in Liverpool Crown Court on July 4 of sexually assaulting a minor and possessing Class A drugs.
The court proceedings revealed the details of the case, which had been a source of ongoing distress for the victim and her loved ones.
Following his conviction, Ross was sentenced on July 19 to a three-month suspended prison term, which will be active for two years.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for the next seven years and to complete 120 hours of unpaid community service as part of a sex offenders treatment program.
These measures aim to monitor and rehabilitate Ross, while also providing some measure of justice for the victim.
Despite the sentence, the family has expressed that their lives have been permanently altered by the assault that took place on July 22, 2017.
