August 2012 Paedophile who filmed himself abusing young girl on phone is jailed A PAEDOPHILE was arrested by cops trying to crack a sex ring after he sent a video of himself abusing a young girl to another pervert. Nathan Whitehouse was arrested by the Metropolitan Police after they found the indecent image on another man’s phone in London and discovered the 32-year-old, from Ilkeston, was the sender. Whitehouse then confessed to police the video was actually him committing the abuse and told officers that he was attracted to young girls, Derby Crown Court heard. Officers also found another indecent movie on his phone, which was believed to have been downloaded from the internet. Jailing Whitehouse for two years and eight months, Recorder Simon Ward said: “You have a long-standing attraction to young girls. Sadly, from what I have read in the pre-sentence report, you cannot help that. “I am not sentencing you for that but because you decided to act on that sexual attraction.” Whitehouse, of Mill Street, admitted sexually touching the girl on four occasions – twice beneath herclothes and two times over her clothing. Recorder Ward said abusing the girl had been “bad enough”. But what had made it more serious was that he had filmed himself doing it on his mobile phone – “not only for your own sexual pleasure but so you could share that film with others for their sexual pleasure,” said Recorder Ward. David Webster, for Whitehouse, said: “He had been hauled into a net that had been cast to catch a big paedophile ring in the Metropolitan police area. “He has been released from that investigation, save for the image found on his phone.” Mr Webster said Whitehouse’s conduct had been “deplorable” but his admissions had been “handsome”. “He wanted to clear his conscience,” Mr Webster added. Whitehouse, who had worked as a bus driver, lost his job at Nottingham City Transport because of the offences. Mr Webster said he had sought help himself with Stop it Now, a child sexual abuse prevention campaign. Whitehouse also admitted taking, distributing and possessing indecent images of children. He must sign the Sex Offenders Register and is banned from working with children for life. He must also obey a sexual offences prevention order for 10 years, which includes not using any device to access the internet unless it retains browsing history and he allows it to be checked by police at any time.
