June 2009 Man downloaded child porn images A MAN who walked into a Hampshire police station and admitted downloading child porn images has been spared a jail sentence. Nathan Norman, 28, of Clive Road, Cardiff, walked into Eastleigh police station and made his confession. At Southampton Crown Court Norman admitted downloading and making 884 sick images of children, several of which were at the worst level of depravity. Judge Patrick Hooton sentenced Norman to a three-year community order under which he will have to take a sex offenders’ course and be placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years. He is also banned from having unauthorised or unsupervised contact within anyone under the age of 18 for three years. Judge Hooton told Norman he took into account that he had sought help and admitted his crimes, but warned him he would face prison if he reoffends. “You are on the sex offenders’ register which is a disgrace in itself. If you come here before me again, your feet won’t touch the ground.”
