KIRKLEES POLICE CHARGE 42 IN HISTORIC CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION CASE
Forty-two individuals, most from Kirklees, have been charged during an investigation into non-recent child sexual exploitation in West Yorkshire.
The accused include 39 men and three women, with offences committed against six girls between 1995 and 2015, mainly in Dewsbury and Batley.
The individuals face various charges, including rape, causing prostitution of a girl under 16, allowing premises for unlawful sexual activities, procuring females under 21, and controlling prostitution.
These suspects are scheduled to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court.
Notably, one of the accused, Riaz Shaikh, 57, from Dewsbury, is charged with rape and indecent assault.
