FINE DON PAEDOPHILE NASIR NIZAM FROM FINEDON TO BE SENTENCED FOR HUNDREDS OF CHILD ABUSE IMAGES
In April 2021, a disturbing case emerged involving a resident of Finedon, who was found to possess an alarming collection of child abuse images. The individual, identified as Nasir Nizam, aged 54, faced serious charges after admitting to downloading and viewing hundreds of indecent images depicting children. His case was brought before magistrates in Northampton, where he pleaded guilty to multiple counts related to the possession and creation of such illicit material.Specifically, Nizam was charged with six counts of making indecent images, which is a legal term encompassing the downloading, viewing, or otherwise acquiring such material. Additionally, he faced one count of possessing prohibited images. The charges stemmed from his activities over a span of several years, with the images categorized into different levels of depravity, ranging from Category A, the most severe, to Category C.
Between May 2016 and November 2017, Nizam was found to have created a total of 189 images classified as Category A, 133 images in Category B, and 28 images in Category C. These figures highlight the extent of his involvement in the possession and creation of highly disturbing content. Furthermore, he admitted to possessing four prohibited images of children during the same period, which are images that are explicitly banned under law due to their extreme nature.
In addition to these past offences, Nizam also pleaded guilty to separate charges of making indecent images that occurred on or before November 24 of the previous year. These newer charges involved an even larger number of images: 312 in Category A, 225 in Category B, and 73 in Category C, indicating a continued pattern of illegal activity.
Following his guilty plea, magistrates granted Nizam bail under strict conditions. He is prohibited from having any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18, must report to police in Wellingborough twice weekly, and has surrendered his passport to prevent him from traveling abroad. These measures aim to prevent any further harm and ensure ongoing monitoring of his activities.
His sentencing is scheduled for April 16 at Northampton Crown Court, where the full extent of his actions and the appropriate legal consequences will be determined. The case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the distribution and possession of child abuse images and protect vulnerable victims from exploitation.
