NASHIA RICKARD FROM LITTLE HULTON CONVICTED FOR CRUELTY TO YORKSHIRE TERRIER IN MANCHESTER

In a recent court case, Nashia Rickard, born around 1996 and residing on Kersal Avenue in Little Hulton, Manchester, was found guilty of cruelty offences involving a small dog, specifically a Yorkshire terrier-type breed. The incident took place over a period spanning from July 29 to August 26, 2021, during which Rickard failed to provide a safe and suitable environment for her pet, named Bo.

According to court records, Rickard neglected her responsibilities as a pet owner by not ensuring the animal's well-being and safety within her home in Kersal Avenue, Little Hulton. The neglect was deemed serious enough to warrant legal action, and she subsequently pleaded guilty to the charges brought against her.

As part of her sentencing, Rickard was ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid community service. Additionally, she was required to pay a total of £695 in fines and costs. The court also imposed a five-year ban on owning or keeping any animals, a measure intended to prevent future incidents of cruelty.

This case highlights ongoing concerns about animal welfare and the importance of responsible pet ownership within the community of Little Hulton and the wider Manchester area. The Bolton News reported on the case, emphasizing the significance of enforcing animal protection laws and ensuring that offenders are held accountable for their actions.
