NADEEM HUSSAIN SENT TO PRISON IN PRESTON FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON SIX-YEAR-OLD GIRL
In a case that has shocked the community of Preston, Nadeem Hussain, aged 34, from Fishwick View, was sentenced to a substantial prison term after admitting to serious sexual offences involving a young girl.The incident, which took place on June 13, 2015, led to Hussain being convicted of multiple charges related to the abuse of a six-year-old girl.
According to court records, Hussain had initially invited the young girl into his home under the pretense of allowing her to play with his own child.
This seemingly innocent gesture was later revealed to be a calculated act that culminated in a disturbing assault.
The court heard that Hussain took the girl to an attic room within his residence, where he committed acts of sexual assault against her.
The charges included one count of assaulting the girl by touching her inappropriately and another count of causing her to engage in sexual activity.
Following his guilty plea, Preston Crown Court sentenced Hussain to five years and two months in prison.
Additionally, he was issued a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO), which is designed to restrict his activities and prevent further offences.
The court's decision underscores the severity of the crimes committed and the community's need for protection from individuals who pose a sexual threat.
Detective Sergeant Steve Ryder, from the Deter Team at Lancashire Police, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “I am pleased Hussain has been jailed for these horrendous offences and I would like to reassure the community that although offences such as these are rare, we will always strive to bring sex offenders to justice.” He emphasized the importance of community safety and the police’s commitment to addressing sexual crimes.
DS Ryder also highlighted the support provided to the young victim, noting that she has been working closely with specially trained officers and receiving assistance from partner agencies.
“I hope the result allows the young victim and her family to move forward with their lives,” he added, reflecting the hope for healing and closure after such a traumatic event.
