June 2019 Grays man Mohammad Keerpah who told girl, 12, he wanted to rape her has been jailed A 19-year-old man, who sent a 12-year-old girl pictures and videos of him performing sex acts, has been sentenced after attempting to meet a child in Grays. Mohammed Keerpah has been sentenced to 27-months’ imprisonment at a youth offenders’ institute but he will be deported halfway through the sentence. The teenager contacted two 12-year-old girls on Instagram on Saturday, 2 March. He sent the first girl inappropriate comments and photos. The second victim was sent a picture of him performing a sexual act on himself. He then tried to coerce her into sending intimate photos of herself. When she refused, Keerpah video-called her and continued performing the sex act. He was arrested at a park in Grays on Sunday, 3 March, after arranging to meet one of the girls. Following a search, police discovered that he had condoms in his wallet. Appearing at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday, 2 May, Keerpah pleaded guilty to two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child, three counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act and one of meeting a child following sexual grooming. He was sentenced on Monday, 10 June.
