MOHAMMED BAIG TROWBRIDGE DOMESTIC ABUSER SENTENCED FOR VIOLENCE AND DANGEROUS DRIVING

A man from Wiltshire, identified as Mohammed Baig, has been sentenced following a series of alarming and abusive actions that spanned several months. Baig, who resided on Headfield Road in Savile Town, Dewsbury, Yorkshire, was found guilty of multiple charges including controlling and coercive behavior, assault, and dangerous driving. His pattern of abusive conduct began in January 2024 and continued through August of the same year, during which he employed various tactics to exert control over his partner.

According to reports, Baig systematically manipulated his partner by seizing her financial resources, restricting her ability to spend money freely, confiscating her mobile phone to limit her communication, and issuing threats to instill fear. These actions created a climate of intimidation and control, severely impacting her well-being.

One particularly violent incident occurred on August 8, when Baig physically assaulted his partner by punching her in the head while she was driving on the motorway. Witnesses who observed the incident described it as aggressive and dangerous, raising concerns about her safety during the incident.

Further troubling behavior was documented on August 26, when Baig followed his partner in his vehicle through multiple roads in Trowbridge after she refused to speak to him. Witnesses reported that his driving was erratic and hazardous, with several accounts of swerving on the road, which posed a significant danger to other motorists. The situation escalated when Baig struck her vehicle near Larkrise Farm on West Ashton Road, adding a physical dimension to his threatening conduct.
