Faced with an immediate life-threatening situation, she was forced to make a desperate decision to jump out of a first-floor window in an attempt to escape the blazing inferno. Her escape was perilous, and she sustained multiple critical injuries, including a broken arm, several fractured ribs, a collapsed lung, and a tear to her liver. The Birmingham Crown Court sentenced him on May 20, 2022, to nine years in prison, with a two-thirds custodial period and an extended three-year license period.
