DEWSBURY WIFE BEATER JAILED FOR ASSAULT AND DECEPTION
A woman beater who attacked his wife and fabricated a story that a gang of white men attacked her while visiting the shop has been jailed.Mir Hussain’s bloodied and beaten wife was found by medics and police officers on the floor at the couple’s home in Dewsbury on December 5, 2020.
The lie concocted to cover up the 46-year-old’s violent attack on his wife was also put forward by his son and his own victim, Leeds Crown Court heard.
However, it quickly became clear that the assault had taken place indoors due to the lack of blood outside the property.
A blood-soaked jumper was found in the washing machine and Hussain was also found to be wearing two pairs of trousers, including bloodstained jogging bottoms.
During a 999 call made to the ambulance service, it was suspected that Hussain’s wife had suffered broken bones, but thankfully this was not the case.
She also cared for him as he struggled with mental health issues.
Hussain, of Vulcan Close, admitted one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Judge Mushtaq Khokar told him: “You are 46.
It’s about time you learnt to behave and treat your partner.
What sort of example are you setting to your son?
Make sure you don’t behave in this fashion again.
Next time it’ll be a longer sentence.” A restraining order was also imposed banning Hussain from contacting some of his neighbours.
She also suffered injuries to her neck, wrists, back and face.
The court heard as she was taken to hospital via ambulance, she pleaded with medics to not hit her, indicating what had happened in the house that evening.
She was found to have pain and swelling to her jaw and cheek as well as a cut to her upper lip.
As Hussain was arrested, he made threats to his neighbours who went on to tell police about an argument taking place prior to the assault.
