JEALOUS HUSBAND GETS LIFE FOR HORRIFIC MURDER OF WIFE
A 38-year-old man named Minta Adiddo has received a life sentence after being convicted of killing his wife, Akua Agyeman, at their residence in Enfield.The court was informed that in October 2012, Adiddo grew suspicious that his wife was engaged in an affair with a neighbor.
When the neighbor denied the accusations, Adiddo attacked Mrs.
Agyeman in their bedroom on November 5, 2012.
During the assault, he stabbed her with a large kitchen knife while their one-year-old child slept nearby.
Mrs.
Agyeman managed to escape the attack and attempted to get out through the living room window.
However, her husband pursued her across the street, where he continued the assault by stabbing her multiple times and subsequently ran her over with his vehicle in a violent outburst.
A bystander, attempting to intervene, saw Adiddo drive over his wife before fleeing the scene.
The following day, Adiddo called a relative admitting to having stabbed his wife and mentioned intentions to commit suicide.
He was found the next day in his blood-stained car, initially claiming manslaughter, but prosecutors secured a conviction for murder following a detailed investigation by homicide detectives.
He is expected to serve at least 17 years in prison.
