CHILD SEX ABUSER 'ALLOWED LUST TO TAKE ADVANTAGE' OF UNDERAGE GIRL'S NAIVETY
An underage sex victim says she feels "used and dirty" after a narcissistic Nottingham dad-of-two "allowed his lust to take advantage of her naivety".
Nottingham Crown Court heard how Miles Brown and his long-term partner were on a break from their relationship when he "took away the innocence" of the victim.
The 26-year-old's sentencing hearing revealed he pulled down his jogging bottoms and had full sex with the young teen.
In a victim impact statement, the girl described how she sometimes tries not to sleep in case her nightmares return.
Brown, of Lindfield Road and with no previous convictions, pleaded guilty to sexual activity with a child.
The court was told Brown's actions had a huge impact on the girl, leading to feelings of being "used and dirty," and causing her to suffer nightmares, low moods, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety.
Recorder Jason Macadam sentenced Brown to two years in jail, suspended for two years, and ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and attend 30 rehabilitation sessions.
He also imposed a three-month curfew from 9pm to 5am and a 10-year sex offender register requirement, along with a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.
Victoria Rose, prosecuting, stated the incident occurred when Brown was aged 22 and the victim was under the age of consent.
Brown initially denied the incident but later pleaded guilty.
The victim's statement highlighted the lasting trauma, with feelings of numbness, withdrawal, paranoia, and fear of sleeping due to nightmares.
