Michael Walker, a paedophile from Winsford, has been sentenced to jail after grooming a teenage girl over nearly nine months.
The 45-year-old appeared in Chester Crown Court on Friday, December 2, and was convicted on nine counts related to sexual activity with a minor.
The court heard during the trial that Walker’s grooming of the girl took place from August 2020 to April 2021.
The victim reported him to police in August 2021, which resulted in his arrest.
He was charged with eight counts of non-penetrative sexual activity involving a minor and one count of encouraging or persuading a teenager to engage in such acts.
Walker was found guilty of all charges.
In the court session on Friday, Walker, residing on Yellowhammer Crescent, was sentenced to a two-year, four-month imprisonment.
Additionally, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was imposed on him.
