MAIDSTONE PERVERT MUST NOW SIGN ON THE SEX OFFENDERS’ REGISTER AFTER BEING FOUND WITH MORE THAN 240 INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN

A pervert has admitted downloading indecent images of children following a police raid on his home.

Michael Shield, aged 31, was found in possession of more than 240 indecent images of children in categories A, B, and C.

The incident occurred when police raided his residence in June last year after his IP address was flagged for potential downloads of such material.

Officers seized multiple devices, including laptops and mobile phones, which contained images across all categories.

Shield had visited numerous sites, initially fetish sites, but ultimately descended into the ‘deep, dark rabbit hole’ of indecent images.

He made admissions during police interviews and has been ordered to sign the sex offenders' register.

The court confirmed that he would need to provide personal details, including his name, address, and bank and passport information to police, for community management.

Shield appeared before magistrates in Medway on August 20 and pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images.

Judge will sentencing him on October 24 after a pre-sentencing report is completed, and a sexual harm prevention order will be sought.

As a result of his guilty plea, Shield was required to report to police within three days of court appearance as a sex offender.
