PERTH MAN THREATENED TO ATTACK HIS EX WITH GOLF CLUB BECAUSE HE WAS TIRED OF ‘SOFA-SURFING’
A man named Michael Riddoch from Perth was involved in a verbal and physical threat incident directed at his ex-girlfriend.
After their relationship ended, Riddoch sent a series of abusive messages, including audio recordings, which became increasingly derogatory.
The Depute fiscal Bill Kermode reported that Riddoch threatened to "smash" his ex and said he was "coming down with a golf club".
Police responded to a neighbour’s call at around 1:40 am when Riddoch was allegedly kicking the communal block of his flat.
Riddoch admitted to sending grossly offensive text messages and recordings to his former partner on September 2.
The court, presided over by Sheriff William Wood, sentenced him to 80 hours of unpaid work, placed him on a supervision order, and banned him from contacting his ex-partner.
