MAN BRANDISHES KNIFE DURING FAMILY ROW IN DALTON
A man named Michael Gill assaulted his sister and brandished a knife at her following a row over social media at her home in Crossfields, Dalton, on November 23.The next day, while the victim was sitting in the dining room drinking alcohol, she heard a loud knocking.
She saw her brother, Gill, who asked to be let in but was refused.
He then entered her home, confronted her, and punched her several times in the face, causing her pain.
Gill then pulled out a bread knife, pointed it at her, and threatened, “Carry the f**k on and I'll f**k you up,” before dropping the knife and leaving.
Gill admits to having the knife but denies threatening her with it, claiming the altercation was in self-defense after a confrontation where she pushed and punched him.
He was scheduled for a Newton hearing at Huddersfield court to determine the true events, with the hearing set for March 28.
Until then, Gill is prohibited from contacting his sister or visiting her residence.
