A loner who amassed more than half a million child abuse downloads and had videos of women having sex with dogs has been jailed.Perverted Michael Burgin told police the only reason he did not have a girlfriend is because he is only interested in young girls and described himself as a hermit.The 30-year-old was arrested at his "very untidy" home covered in waste in Racecommon Road, Barnsley, in November 2018.Prosecutor Ian Goldsack told Sheffield Crown Court when he was arrested Burgin went upstairs and turned off a mains switch to a computer and monitor.He also asked to make a phone call but, following a brief struggle, was handcuffed and taken to a police station for questioning.During his interview, he told officers his addiction to child abuse images and videos had started when he was a child.He added he had a preference for girls up until the stage of puberty and he would download the sickening images and footage when he was unhappy and used it as a "pick me up".When asked whether or not any images involving babies would be found, Burgin told detectives he was "pretty sure" they would be uncovered.Although there were 2,893 category A images, 2,201 category B images and 23,33...
