WORCESTER PAEDOPHILE MICHAEL BERRY SENT PICTURES OF HIS PENIS TO A CHILD
A paedophile from Worcester is to be sentenced after sending illicit photos to what he believed was a child.Michael Berry, aged 42, of Brickfields Road, is scheduled for sentencing after attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
He is alleged to have tried communicating with a decoy account which he did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over.
Between May 11 and 21 of 2020, Berry sent sexual messages to the account, including images of a sexual nature.
He is understood to have also repeatedly discussed matters of a sexual nature and encouraged the person he believed to be under 16 to touch themselves sexually.
On Tuesday, November 15, at Worcester Justice Centre, Berry indicated a plea of guilty.
Subsequently, he was committed to Worcester Crown Court for sentencing, scheduled for November 18, or any other date as directed by the court.
Until the sentencing, he has been granted unconditional bail.
Berry is also required to register with the police at the Worcester station in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act 2005 for a period to be specified during sentencing.
