MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
McCorley Booth, aged 30 and residing on Newton Close in Wragby, Market Rasen, admitted to multiple criminal charges including encouraging a girl under 13 to partake in sexual activity, assaulting a boy under 13 by touching, creating indecent images, and sharing such images.He appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Thursday, June 25, and received a sentence totaling seven years of imprisonment.
Booth admitted to two specific offenses that occurred in February 2025, receiving the following sentences: seven years for inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity without penetration, and eight months for making indecent images of a child, served concurrently.
Additionally, he later pleaded guilty to three earlier offenses from 2024, including assaulting a boy under 13 by touching, and making and distributing child indecent images, with sentences of four years and eight months each, all served concurrently.
He was also subject to a 15-year order to prevent sexual harm, a five-year restraining order, and will be registered as a sex offender for life.
The investigation was facilitated by prompt intelligence sharing from the National Crime Agency, which flagged harmful content on a web chat platform.
Following this, Booth was quickly detained in Market Rasen on suspicion of creating and distributing indecent images.
A subsequent search of his phone revealed multiple offenses, and physical evidence taken from his home included a distinctive pair of trousers, which helped link him to some of the images found during the investigation.
