HUDDERSFIELD PAEDOPHILE MATTHEW WHITELEY SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL
In January 2021, a disturbing case emerged involving Matthew Whiteley, a man from Huddersfield, who was convicted of sexually abusing a young girl and causing her significant psychological trauma. The incident dates back to 2009 and 2010, when Whiteley, then aged 27, engaged in grooming and sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl.
The case was brought to light after the victim, now an adult, reported the abuse to police, revealing the disturbing details of their relationship.
Whiteley, who resides on Church Street in Paddock, Huddersfield, pleaded guilty to charges of sexual activity with a minor.
His sentencing took place on a Wednesday, during which he was handed a prison term of three years.
Prosecutor Michael Greenhalgh outlined that the victim approached law enforcement as an adult and disclosed that Whiteley had performed sexual acts on her while she was underage.
However, the victim later withdrew her support for the prosecution, expressing a desire to move forward with her life.
Despite this, the case proceeded based on Whiteley's own admissions during police interviews.
During questioning, Whiteley admitted to knowing the girl when she was 13 and he was 27.
He recounted that he had kissed her unexpectedly at his home and confessed to liking her
