DUDLEY AND HULL SEX OFFENDER MATTHEW HAZELL ON THE RUN AFTER GROOMING SCHOOLGIRL
In a recent development, Matthew Hazell, a man originally from Dudley, is now actively wanted by police authorities for failing to adhere to the mandatory Sex Offenders' Notification Requirements.It has been confirmed that Hazell has relocated and is currently residing in the Hull area, prompting a police manhunt to locate and apprehend him.
Back in July 2014, Hazell, then 29 years old, was involved in a disturbing case that drew significant public and legal attention.
He was accused of grooming a 13-year-old schoolgirl through social media platform Facebook, engaging in inappropriate and sexually explicit communication.
The case was brought before Wolverhampton Crown Court, where Hazell was found guilty of the serious charges of online child grooming and transmitting sexually explicit messages to a minor.
Despite the gravity of his actions, Hazell was not sentenced to prison.
Instead, the court imposed a three-year community order, which required him to participate in a sex offender treatment program.
Additionally, he was ordered to pay £340 in prosecution costs.
As part of the court's measures to prevent further offenses, a sexual offences prevention order was issued against him, restricting his activities and interactions.
Furthermore, Hazell was mandated to register as a sex offender, a legal requirement aimed at monitoring and managing individuals convicted of sexual offenses.
However, recent developments indicate that he has failed to comply with these legal obligations, leading to his current status as a wanted individual.
Authorities are actively seeking him in the Hull area, where he is believed to be hiding, in hopes of bringing him into custody and ensuring he faces the appropriate legal consequences for his non-compliance.
