MARTYN TUCKER, THE CHESTER SCOUTMASTER, PLEADS GUILTY TO SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST EIGHT BOYS OVER 18 YEARS

Martyn Tucker, a man formerly involved in scouting activities in Chester, has admitted to a series of serious sexual offences committed over a span of nearly two decades. The 69-year-old, who previously served time for five separate offences, faced additional charges that relate to abuse incidents in both Flintshire and Cheshire.

These allegations encompass a total of 28 separate sexual offences against eight young boys, with the crimes dating back from 1967 through 1985. The court proceedings revealed the extent of Tucker's misconduct, which represented a gross breach of trust given his role as a scoutmaster and his position of authority over vulnerable children.

The court emphasized the severity of his betrayal, noting that his actions caused significant harm to the victims and undermined the trust placed in him by the community and the families involved.
