MARTIN BOLTON SHOCKS BARNSEY WITH HORRIFIC SEXUAL ABUSE OF 7-YEAR-OLD GIRL

In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Barnsley, Martin Bolton, a young man with no employment at the time, was convicted of heinous crimes involving a young girl. The incident, which spanned over a year and a half, involved Bolton repeatedly sexually assaulting and raping a seven-year-old girl, actions that have left a lasting scar on the victim and her family.

During the proceedings at Sheffield Crown Court, it was revealed that Bolton's abuse was almost daily, a pattern of predatory behavior that persisted over 18 months. The court heard that Bolton used threats to silence his young victim, including threats to kill her, in an attempt to prevent her from revealing the abuse.
