MARTIN ALLEN FROM BALBY SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN DONCASTER

In June 2021, a disturbing case involving a local resident from Balby, Doncaster, came to light as Martin Allen, aged 49, was sentenced to a six-year prison term following his conviction for multiple serious sexual offences committed against a child. The crimes, which spanned a period from 2012 to 2019, involved heinous acts that have left a lasting impact on the victim and the community alike.

Allen, residing on Albany Road in Balby, was brought before Sheffield Crown Court where he faced a series of charges. After initially pleading not guilty during a previous hearing, he was found guilty on 21 May of nine separate offences. These included the grave accusations of inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, as well as allowing a child to observe a sexual act, both of which are considered severe violations of child protection laws.

The court proceedings culminated on Friday, 19 June, with Allen being handed a custodial sentence of six years.
