NOTTINGHAM MAN JAILED FOR SHARING CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND VIDEOS
A university graduate from Nottingham shared vile child abuse videos with like-minded perverts alongside messages which read “this is one of my faves” and “love this cutie too”.Prosecutors also found an astonishing 15,000 sick images when they seized and analysed electronic devices from paedophile Mark Young.
The Nottingham Crown Court heard how despite the vast number of movies and stills found, the 25-year-old claimed to the police he had no sexual interest in children and instead had looked at them because he was “curious”.
He was sentenced to two years in prison.
Judge Stuart Rafferty remarked: “15,000 children, some babes in arms, some teenagers, who have suffered the indignity of being drooled over by people like you, probably not just once but many times.
They were real people but they will never be whole people for the rest of their lives because they have been tortured, defiled and irreparably destroyed for people like you.
It does no good to trot out the usual weak excuse of ‘I was curious’.” The court heard that police executed a warrant at Young’s address in Carrington in July 2022 after receiving information that indecent images of children were being downloaded.
Several devices were seized, containing more than 15,000 vile child abuse images with ages ranging from babies to teenagers.
Images and videos of humans having sex with dogs and horses were also found.
Young was involved in chatrooms with other like-minded individuals which required people to provide indecent images of children to gain entry.
He participated in 160 different chat groups and responded ‘yes I have, very hot’ to questions about seeing the real rape of a girl, sharing videos of young girls aged four to six being abused and commenting on how ‘hot’ they were.
Young, of Hamilton Road, pleaded guilty to charges of distribution and possession of indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornography and prohibited images.
He has no previous convictions.
Mitigating, Matt Smith described him as an isolated individual whose only real friends are online.
As a result of this case, Young now has to sign on the sex offender register for five years and complete a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
