MARK TINDILL'S BRUTAL MURDER IN BLACKPOOL LEAVES FAMILY DEVASTATED

A man named Mark Tindill, aged 56, has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of murdering his girlfriend in Blackpool. The tragic incident unfolded in a fit of drunken jealousy, leading to a violent attack that ended with the death of Lisa Chadderton, aged 44.

According to court proceedings at Preston Crown Court, Tindill assaulted Ms. Chadderton by punching her and then strangling her. The violence escalated further when he stabbed her five times in the neck and once in the eye, causing fatal injuries. The court was informed that Tindill had a history of similar violent behavior, having previously attempted to strangle another partner approximately ten years earlier under comparable circumstances.

Following his guilty plea to murder, Tindill was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 15 years before he could be considered for parole. He resides on Topping Street in Blackpool, and during the incident, he claimed that he 'flipped' after Ms. Chadderton allegedly confessed to infidelity early on the morning of November 27. The court heard that Tindill then disposed of Ms. Chadderton's body in a utility room at their shared residence in Blackpool before leaving the scene by taxi to Kent, where he later confessed the crime to his family.

The victim's teenage son discovered her body, and a post-mortem examination confirmed that she died from strangulation and multiple stab wounds to her neck. Prosecutor Francis McEntree revealed that the couple had recently moved into the living quarters of their pub, Gillespies, after a three-month relationship. Ms. Chadderton, originally from Tredegar in South Wales, had previously confided in friends about Tindill’s controlling behavior, describing feelings of being 'suffocated.'

Mr. McEntree explained that Ms. Chadderton expressed concern that if she was not with Tindill or wanted some time alone, he would become angry, either through phone calls or text messages. Tindill, when questioned by police, admitted that she had told him she slept with someone else while they were together, claiming he 'flipped' and described himself as being in a 'zone he couldn't get out of.' However, detectives found no evidence to support the claim that Ms. Chadderton was unfaithful.

It was also revealed that Tindill had a prior conviction for domestic violence from ten years ago, which was triggered by a drunken rage after reading text messages from his then-partner. The family of Ms. Chadderton, including her mother Mandy Steed, expressed their grief, describing her as a person who 'touched a lot of hearts with her sunny smile, wicked sense of humor, and her generosity.' They mourn her loss, emphasizing her friendly, outgoing, and beautiful nature, and expressed their devastation at her untimely death.
