MARK JACKSON FROM DURHAM SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES

A man identified as Mark Jackson, residing in Durham, has been handed down a three-year community order by the court after he pleaded guilty to charges involving the viewing and possession of indecent images of children. The images in question included some of the most severe Category A material, which is classified as the most serious type of child exploitation imagery.

Jackson, who is known to have a prior criminal record for similar offenses, was previously incarcerated for related crimes. During his court appearance, he attempted to justify his actions by claiming that his searches for such images were driven by unrelated reasons, a defense that the court did not find convincing.
