A man who raped a child in Plymouth has been jailed for 19 years.
Marc Dannan, aged 36 and residing on Duke Street in Plymouth, was convicted at Plymouth Crown Court of multiple charges including rape, sexual assault, and engaging in sexual activity with a young girl.
Today, Friday 17 July, he received a sentence of 19 years in prison, along with an additional one-year period on licence.
In addition to his custodial sentence, Dannan was issued a 25-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order that will remain in effect for 25 years.
The trial at Plymouth Crown Court concluded on Friday, 5 June, where Dannan was found guilty of three counts of rape, two counts of inciting sexual activity, and three counts of sexual assault.
The offences involved a juvenile and a teenager, with the abusive behavior spanning several years.
