Malcolm Place, 46, carried out the offences in Redcar between April 2011 and May 2014. Prosecutor Holly Common told Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Monday the images fell into three categories of severity. District Judge Helen Cousins told Place that because of the seriousness of the case, it could only be dealt with by the crown court. Sarah Lish, defending, said she had no objections. Place, of The Fleet, in Dormanstown, was bailed and will appear at Teesside Crown Court at a later date.
