WOMAN WITH VIOLENT PAST JAILED FOR ATTACKING EX-BOYFRIEND WITH A TABLE
A drug-dealing woman named Lyndsey Goulding launched a wooden table at her ex-boyfriend's head, an assault for which she expressed remorse by telling police "I should have killed him." The incident occurred after Goulding, who has a history of drug addiction and previous convictions, found her partner with another man at his brother's flat in Birkenhead.Prior to the attack, Goulding had been involved in drug possession and was caught with heroin and crack cocaine, worth around £200, in November last year.
She also had a history of violence and domestic incidents involving her ex-partner Stephen Paul over a six-year relationship.
During the attack, Goulding hit Mr.
Paul with a table leg after he was pushed to the ground during a brawl.
She followed him outside to check on his injury, which led him to call the police.
Goulding was arrested and taken into custody, where she admitted to unlawful wounding as well as possession of drugs with intent to supply.
She was sentenced to 32 months in prison.
The court heard that Goulding has made efforts to improve her mental health, seeking assistance for schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression, and has made positive steps such as passing basic courses and working in the kitchen.
Her previous record includes 21 convictions for 45 offences, but none for violence or drug trafficking in recent years.
The judge acknowledged her difficult life, including her childhood trauma and prolonged drug addiction, and urged her to continue her progress to avoid ending up in prison again.
