LUKASZ GRZYWNA'S HORRIFIC CRIMES IN CREDITON LEAD TO LONG PRISON SENTENCE

Lukasz Grzywna, a notorious and highly dangerous voyeur from Crediton, has been sentenced to nearly a decade in prison after a series of disturbing and invasive crimes targeting women and children. His actions spanned over a 14-month period, during which he engaged in a pattern of covertly filming and invading the privacy of innocent victims in their own homes.

Grzywna's criminal activities first came to light when a vigilant father, who had been staying awake to monitor his household, heard unusual noises at approximately 2:30 am. Upon investigation, he discovered Grzywna standing inside his daughter's bedroom. The intruder was found in possession of an unused condom, a significant quantity of tissues, and other suspicious items, including ecstasy tablets and additional paraphernalia recovered from the roof of the property. The police were called to the scene, and during questioning, Grzywna initially lied, claiming he was merely visiting a friend or that he was a burglar with no sexual intent. However, further investigation revealed a disturbing pattern of behavior.

Analysis of his mobile phone uncovered a series of videos and images that detailed his predatory conduct. It was established that Grzywna had been inside the girl’s room for at least an hour, recording himself masturbating while she slept. Evidence indicated that he had previously climbed to reach her window, suggesting premeditation. CCTV footage showed that he had walked past the same house on four separate evenings prior to his arrest.

His phone contained videos from seven other locations, including his car, where he filmed semi-naked women sleeping, often focusing on their legs, feet, and lower bodies. One particularly heinous clip depicted a woman unconscious against his car door, whom he sexually assaulted while filming himself and smoking a joint. The victim's mother expressed her heartbreak upon discovering her daughter had been assaulted. The young woman, who had autism and ADHD, confided in her mother that she feared she had been drugged and was anxious about her memory loss before she tragically passed away.

Further evidence revealed that Grzywna had been filming women through windows or patio doors while they slept, sometimes entering their homes to masturbate in their presence or filming through the glass. His disturbing behavior extended to filming children in their beds, often zooming in on their bodies as they slept. His actions included attempts at voyeurism and sexual assault, with some victims unaware they had been targeted.

In one of the most serious incidents, he sexually assaulted an unconscious woman in her car, an act captured on video. The police found him in possession of various items linked to his crimes, and his phone contained footage from multiple addresses, illustrating a pattern of calculated and planned offenses. The evidence demonstrated that Grzywna was a highly manipulative and cunning individual, with a clear intent to exploit and harm vulnerable victims.

During the court proceedings, the judge described Grzywna as a 'cunning, calculated, sexual predator' and emphasized the severity of his crimes. The judge highlighted that some victims might not even have been aware they were being filmed or targeted, underscoring the danger posed by his actions. The court sentenced him to nine years and eight months in prison for multiple charges, including voyeurism, attempted voyeurism, sexual assault, offering to supply cannabis, and trespassing with intent to commit sexual offenses. The sentence also includes a requirement for Grzywna to sign the sex offender register for life, reflecting the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
