WORCESTER MAN ADMITS TO CHILD SEX OFFENCES JUST DAYS BEFORE TRIAL
A man from Worcester has confessed to multiple sexual crimes involving minors just days before his trial was set to commence.
Liam Knight, residing on Shap Drive in Worcester, accepted responsibility for five out of six sexual charges he had previously denied during a court session on Thursday (July 16).
During the hearing, he pleaded guilty to two counts of encouraging a child under 13 to participate in sexual activities, one count of engaging in sexual acts with a minor, one count of exposing a child to a sexual act, and one count of communicating sexually with a child.
Initially, at a plea hearing at Hereford Crown Court in April 2025, he had denied all charges.
His trial was scheduled to start on Monday (July 27), but he will now return to court for sentencing on October 9.
Although the 22-year-old did not admit to and will not face prosecution for a second count of causing a child to watch a sexual act, this alleged offense will still remain on his criminal record.
