LEXI-ROSE CRAWFORD AND SHOCKING RAPE IN BRISTOL

Lexi-Rose Crawford, a transgender individual from Bristol, has been convicted in a court of having committed a serious sexual assault on a friend.

The conviction follows a series of disturbing allegations that revealed Crawford used her penis during the attack, a detail explicitly noted in the court’s formal indictment.

Crawford, who is biologically male but publicly identifies as a woman, had previously served a four-year prison sentence for engaging in sexual activity with an underage girl.

The incident that led to her incarceration involved meeting the minor online and engaging in illicit sexual acts.

After her release from prison in January 2019, Crawford continued her life, adopting feminine pronouns and publicly presenting herself as a woman.

However, just a few weeks after regaining her freedom, she was accused and found guilty of attacking a vulnerable friend.

The court proceedings took place at Bristol Crown Court on March 10, where Crawford claimed to have no memory of the sexual assault.

The defense argued that she experienced “blackouts,” suggesting a lack of recollection of the events.

Despite these claims, the jury took less than two hours of deliberation before returning a guilty verdict on charges of rape and sexual assault.

The identity of the victim remains protected by court restrictions, but it is known that she was a close and defenseless acquaintance of Crawford.

The young woman recounted how Crawford attempted to persuade her to lie beside her before forcefully pinning her down and subjecting her to sexual assault.

She described the ordeal in court, stating: "[Crawford] wanted me to lie down next to [her] and then tried to start...

cuddling me, which I don’t feel comfortable with anyway.

And then she started removing my clothes, which I didn’t want." The indictment explicitly stated that Crawford’s penis was used during the assault.

Despite her protests and attempt to resist, Crawford forcibly removed the victim’s clothing and proceeded with the rape.

When questioned about her lack of resistance, the victim explained her reasoning by saying: “What could I have done without using physical contact to stop [her]?

And then that could have been me in the wrong by using physical contact to stop [her].” Crawford’s defense attempted to dismiss the allegations by claiming amnesia, but the prosecuting attorney, David Scutt, dismissed this explanation.

He pointed out that there was no medical evidence supporting her claim of memory loss and criticized it as a "convenient excuse." Mr.

Scutt challenged Crawford’s credibility by suggesting that she could remember the details of her good actions but not the bad.

When asked if she did those things, Crawford simply responded “Disagree,” denying any involvement.

Following her conviction, Crawford was released on conditional bail and is scheduled to be sentenced on May 10.

During the four-day trial, she was consistently addressed with feminine pronouns and was referred to as “Miss” by the judges and legal representatives.

It is pertinent to note that Crawford’s criminal history includes a conviction in 2017 for raping a teenage girl after grooming her online.

The case is a troubling reminder of her criminal background prior to the recent assault.

If she receives a custodial sentence, legal reforms and recent prison policies in the UK are likely to determine her placement in a men’s prison, a departure from previous practices.

The Ministry of Justice and Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service announced new guidelines on February 27, stating that transgender women who have male genitalia or have committed sex offenses will no longer be housed in women’s prisons.

This policy change reflects ongoing debates and revisions concerning the management and housing of transgender offenders within the prison system.
